Resistanz justifies its name: it resists external influences and thus extends carpet life.
The Yarn
When making a Resistanz carpet, special yarn is used. This is because the yarn has a trilobal shape and is coloured through-and-through. This yarn uses polyamide fibres that have unique properties:
- 100% Solution Dyed Nylon
- 100% UV-resistant
- 100% maintenance friendly
- 100% bleach proof
Because of the trilobal shape of the fiber, soil stays on the surface which makes cleaning easier.
Colour to the core
So, what is dyed through-and-through? The yarns used in our Resistanz collection are Solution Dyed Nylon (SDN) yarns. In these yarns, the fibres are dyed through-and-through (like a carrot). In other yarns, the colour lies as a layer around the yarn (like an apple). See the example!

UV-resistant
Because the carpet is coloured through-and-through, it is not possible for a Resistanz carpet to become discoloured by the sun. This makes it ideal when the carpet is placed behind large windows.
There will also be no discolouration when furniture is moved around!

Maintenance friendly
In terms of maintenance, Resistanz carpet is unique. Dirt remains on the fibre and does not soak in. Cleaning is easier and common cleaning products do not affect the colour or fibre.
Should a stain be very persistent, cleaning with a mixture of water and bleach/chlorine can make the carpet like new again.
Please note: applying bleach/chlorine to normal carpet will damage the carpet beyond repair.
